100% Organic, Naturally Leavened Sourdough

We take our food seriously, and we won’t sell anything we wouldn’t feed to our own family. That means everything that comes out of the bakery is clean, honest food.

Made with pure ingredients, traditional techniques, and zero artificial conditioners, preservatives, or additives. Promise.

Our Process

Our sourdough is a three-day process from start to finish, made naturally with only 3 ingredients - flour, water, and salt - and no commercial yeast. Each loaf is made with organic grains from trusted American farms, long fermented for optimal health and gluten-sensitive benefits, shaped by hand and baked fresh with the same techniques that have been used in sourdough baking for thousands of years.

On top of the bread, all other baked goods are held to the same standards - naturally fermented with sourdough, using only organic grains and the highest quality ingredients out there. No GMO or artificial ingredients, food dyes, preservatives, refined sugars, or seed oils.

Real food only, the way it’s supposed to be.

What’s in your bread?

Most store-bought breads have anywhere from 15-30 ingredients, including preservatives, emulsifiers, and refined and GMO additives. Many also use highly processed and non organic flours that strip away the natural nutrients in the grain, and unnecessary added sugars and oils contribute to inflammation and gut problems. Most commercial bread also relies on manmade fast-rising yeasts, completely skipping the natural fermentation process that enhances flavor, texture, and makes bread easier to digest, also lowering the gluten content. Choosing real, natural sourdough products that are made with organic, whole ingredients gives you an alternative to enjoy baked goods without the harmful additives.

  • Yes! Everything you see on our menu is 100% naturally leavened and fermented with sourdough. We never use any yeast or dough conditioners. All natural here!

  • Because our sourdough is naturally leavened and contains no artificial ingredients or preservatives, it won't stay fresh as long as storebought bread does! It's best enjoyed freshly baked (or within a few days), if it lasts that long! 😉

  • We recommend slicing the loaf starting from the middle, and slicing out from there. To store, place the loaf cut side down on a cake plate with a lid, in a bread bag or box, or wrapped loosely in a tea towel. (It can be stored in a plastic bag or airtight container, but make sure to finish it in a few days - plastic bags keep in moisture and will make it go bad faster).

  • Yes, you can freeze sourdough! If you won’t be eating the whole loaf in a few days, you can freeze all or a portion of it to pull out and enjoy later. To freeze, wrap tightly in aluminum foil, and then put it in a plastic bag. Seal tightly and put in the freezer. To thaw when you’re ready to eat it, pull it out and let it come completely to room temperature. Run it under a little bit of water, and then put the loaf in the oven at 350° for about 10 minutes to refresh it. You can also freeze already sliced bread and just put a frozen piece in the oven or toaster to refresh.

Behind Sourdough Mama

Hi, I'm Rebecca! I'm a wife, mama to two toddlers, homesteader-ish, and self-taught sourdough baker turned bakery owner just outside of Nashville, TN. I fell in love with sourdough several years ago, and how it has a way of helping you slow down, break bread together, and reconnect to our God-given food, the way it's supposed to be. I'm passionate about clean eating and real, simple ingredients, and now I get to share that through baking for our local community, teaching sourdough workshops, and creating a space online to help others do the same. Sourdough is a huge love language for me, and it's an honor to share it with you.
